Priority in Living

The priority in living is not to live under the glamors of what others
do
for
themselves, but what you can do best to live your God given human life.

[A] Glamorous but worthless

You don't actually have to answer the quiz in A and B but read through
it to
grab the meaning behind raising the query. Just read the entire article
to
get
the point.

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss World
contest.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer prize.
5. Name the last six years' Academy Award winners for best performances
and
movies.
6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.

Well, How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are
no
second-rate achievers.
They are the best in their fields, but
* The applause dies
* The Awards tarnish
* The Achievements are forgotten
The Accolades, trophies, plaques and certificates are buried with their
owners. Old gets forgotten. Newer takes its place. Newer gets older. So
what
is
to
you?

[B] Ordinary but Priceless

Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers, who guided your journey
through school and education process.
2. Name three friends who stood by you through
difficult periods of your life.
3. Name five people who have taught you something
worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel
appreciated.
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
6. Name half a dozen heroes whose stories have
inspired you to live your life.

How did you do on this one: Find it comfortable?

The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the
most
glamour, most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are
the
ones that you are close to and those who care for you and for whom you
care.
The
real glamour is one in your heart for the people who touch you and to
whom
you touch. Someone under that remote limelight means little.
