Ebb and Flow

Five elements will make us all
And men will continue to slave and reign
Upon thrones of conquered happiness
Will lie gems of sorrow and pain

And the moon will wax and wane
Forming tides high and low
The earth will stir and shake
And we will reap and sow

The sun will set and rise
The fire will quench and burn
Oases will sprawl upon a desert
And paths of life will twist and turn

There will be times of drought and flood
Teeming rainforests and barren lands
And there will be thoughts of I and we
Slip away will the time's endless sands

There will be dreams of angel and ghoul
Of darkness and a divine glow
As long as the five elements stay
This life will continue to ebb and flow
