The Wave

The story is about a little wave, bobbing along in the ocean, having a
grand
time. He's enjoying the wind and fresh air - until he notices the other
waves in front of him crashing against the shore.

My God this is terrible, the wave says Look what's going to happen to
me!

Then along comes another wave. It sees the first wave, looking grim, and
it
says to him, Why do you look so sad

The first wave says, You don't understand! We're all going to crash! All
of
us waves are going to be nothing! Isn't it terrible

The second wave says, No, you don't understand. You're not a wave,
you're
part of the ocean.

Have you ever faced the inevitable reality of the shore

What was the first wave's initial response to change

What negative things can come out of watching the other waves crash in
front

What positive things can come out of watching the other waves crash in
front

How different will the first wave be AFTER crashing on the shore

Who is this second wave guy

Why is he important

What does it mean to be part of the ocean

Do we human beings on this planet realize that we are all tiny particles
of
water drops in this ocean called humanity and we are a part of this wave
called human civilization..

Take care to preserve yourself

A Balanced Life

My life has been balanced
with pleasures and trials,
I've had many teardrops
and thousands of smiles.

I've soared to the moon
and I've plunged to the sand,
My life has been balanced
by God's loving hand.

I've had many friendships
I've had a few foes,
In the life of a Christian
that's the way that it goes.

Should I just accept
only good from God's hands?
No, I must endure
whatever He plans.

But I can be sure
and you can be, too,
All things work for best
as God deals with you.

I Want To Know

I want to know, when day is done,
That life has been worth living,
That I have brought somebody joy
Through kind, unselfish giving.

I want to feel, when evening falls
and shadows quickly lengthen
That I have made somebody glad,
Some weakness I have strengthened.

I want to know that come what may
I've left some cheer and gladness;
I want to feel at close of day
I've banished someone's sadness.

I want to feel at close of day
That someone's cares were lighter
Because of kindness I have done,
May someone's life be brighter.

Live For Today

Have you ever wished, when a day went wrong
a wish that's quite in vain
that it were only possible
to live that day again

You'd start out in the morning
with the prayers you should have said
and through the days your actions
with tolerance be led

The many little instances
that tried your patience, true
if only you could start again
you'd know now what to do

You'd kneel and say your evening prayers
and thank the lord above
for all the pleasant hours past
your heart at peace with love

But since this is a wish in vain
and never can be true
there's only one alternative
just one thing you can do

To live today in such a way
that when tomorrow comes
the memories of yesterday
will all be cherished ones.

Not Yet

Sometimes I ask the question,
"My Lord, is this Your will?"
It's then I hear You answer me,
"My Precious child . . . be still."

Sometimes I feel frustrated,
'Cause I think I know what's best.
It's then I hear You say to me,
"My busy child . . . just rest."

Sometimes I feel so lonely
And I think I'd like a mate.
Your still small voice gets oh, so clear
And says, "My child . . . please wait."

"I know the plans I have for you,
The wondrous things you'll see;
If you can just be patient, child,
And put your trust in Me.

I've plans to draw you closer.
I've plans to help you grow.
There's much I do you cannot see
And much you do not know.

But know this, child . . . I love you!
You are precious unto Me.
Before I formed you in the womb,
I planned your destiny.

I've something very special
I hope for you to learn.
The gifts I wish to give to you
Are gifts you cannot earn.

They come without a price tag,
But not without a cost;
At Calvary, I gave My Son,
So you would not be lost.

Rest child, and do not weary
Of doing what is good.
I promise I'll come back for you
Just like I said I would.

Your name is written on My palm,
I never could forget;
Therefore, do not be discouraged when
My answer is . . . "Not Yet"

You Are

You are strong...
when you take your grief and teach it to smile.

You are brave...
when you overcome your fear and help others to do the same.

You are happy...
when you see a flower and are thankful for the blessing.

You are loving...
when your own pain does not blind you to the pain of others.

You are wise...
when you know the limits of your wisdom.

You are true...
when you admit there are times you fool yourself.

You are alive...
when tomorrow's hope means more to you than yesterday's mistake.

You are growing...
when you know what you are but not what you will become.

You are free...
when you are in control of yourself and do not wish to control others.

You are honorable...
when you find your honor is to honor others.

You are generous...
when you can take as sweetly as you can give.

You are humble...
when you do not know how humble you are.

You are thoughtful...
when you see me just as I am and treat me just as you are.

You are merciful...
when you forgive in others the faults you condemn in yourself.

You are beautiful...
when you don't need a mirror to tell you.

You are rich...
when you never need more than what you have.

You are you...
when you are at peace with who you are not.

Enjoy Making A Difference

Give yourself something of real value today. Give yourself the gift of
enjoyment.

Decide today to find enjoyment and fulfillment in whatever you happen to
be
doing. Decide to simply and honestly enjoy the real person you are.

Look beyond the mere fleeting pleasures and set your sights on real,
substantive enjoyment. Enjoy yourself in a way that says yes to life and
to
those things that are deeply important to you.

Don't fall into the trap of thinking that you must feel guilty about
enjoying each moment. For the more you truly enjoy and find real
fulfillment
in what you're doing, the more you will contribute value and goodness to
the
world around you.

The most consistently enjoyable and fulfilling activities are those that
make a positive difference. The more earnestly you seek real enjoyment,
the
more you'll find that you're giving of yourself.

Though the world has many problems, so too does life offer boundless
possibilities for true enjoyment. Enjoy being a part of it all, and in
so
doing you'll make it all that much better.

Bend In The Road

When we feel we have nothing left to give
And we are sure that the song has ended
When our day seems over and the shadows fall
And the darkness of night has descended,
Where can we go to find the strength
To valiantly keep on trying,
Where can we find the hand that will dry
The tears that the heart is crying?

There's but one place to go and that is to God
And, dropping all pretense and pride,
We can pour out our problems without restraint
And gain strength from Him at our side,
And together we stand at life's crossroads
And view what we think is the end
But God has a much bigger vision
And He tells us it's only a bend

For the road goes on and is smoother
And the "pause in the song" is a rest
And the part that's unsung and unfinished
Is the sweetest and richest and best
So rest and relax and grow stronger
Let go and let God share your load
Your work is not finished or ended,
You've just come to a "bend in the road."

Showing the Way

See the road before you
It takes you to the Light
Filled with radiant splendor
Your spirit now takes flight

This rose a gift of heaven
I place it in your hand
So you will feel the softness
Within God's precious Land

Where wings are softly waiting
To bring you to the place
Where love and understanding
Will welcome you with grace

Angels all have gathered
To welcome you above
Shower you with kisses
Show their tender love

Flowers all around you
With fragrance every where
Jesus there to hold you
His Heart so filled with care

Caressing you so softly
Your head against His chest
Telling you He loves you
With your soul He is blessed

Go forth in your beauty
With wings of love and lace
Halo that awaits you
With diamond's glow embrace

Fly on wings of angel
Each day a gift we share
Your countenance of beauty
We gather in a prayer.

Times In Our Lives

There will be times in all of our lives
where we're treated very harshly and unfair.
And no matter how hard we look for the justice
we find that it just isn't there.

When we're offended and in pain, our normal response
is to retaliate and somehow repay.
For we want that person to see how it feels
to have the heartache we're feeling that day.

But as natural as it seems to want to get even
it's the opposite of what God says is true.
For He is desiring that His servants be different
and be Christ-like in all that we do.

As incredible as it sounds, He wants us to repay them
with a blessing instead of more pain.
And He will give us the power we need to be kind
and the strength we need to refrain.

We have to trust Him and fully believe Him
Knowing His ways truly are best.
We have to be encouraged knowing He saw the injustice
and let Him give us comfort and rest.

The person who offends us is not declared innocent
by the kindness we place on their head.
But God takes all the heartache retaliation would bring us
and gives us a blessing instead.

Our Quest For Happiness and Fulfillment

Nearly all of us - regardless of social status, wealth, age, gender,
race,
culture, et cetera - tell ourselves that I could be really happy if
only...
What is it Health Money Power Intelligence Spirituality Will these
things
really make you happy You've heard it before but I'm telling you again -
nothing will bring you happiness if you're not already happy. Sounds
like a
load of hooey and in some respects, it is. But almost always what we
consider a solution to our unhappiness is only a quick fix. The problem
is
still there. The person that wins the lottery is elated but soon goes
back
into debt (nearly one third of lottery winners eventually file for
bankruptcy - New York Post, 1997). The person that loses 50 pounds on a
fad
diet soon regains the weight. The person that rises in power loses
friends
and finds happiness only in self-delusion. There's exceptions, of
course,
and maybe you're one of those exceptions. Or maybe not.

What is it you most desire Why are you in such need Consider a desire
for
money. Are you living within your means Are you using credit cards to
pay
bills or buy food Those are problems that might persist even if you
suddenly
fell into a fortune. Are you doing fulfilling work Is there something
you
desire that requires a great deal of money, like travel or a house Those
are
legitimate reasons to want a lot of money but what are you doing about
it
Have you researched inexpensive travel, like stand-by or courier
services
Have you pursued your dream job

When you think of your needs, what do you do Make wishes to an invisible
genie Light candles and cast spells Wish upon a star Pray Scream out to
the
aliens Consider the 6 billion people that live on earth. What makes you
more
deserving of a free ride that any of them Why do you plead to the sky
but
take no action Chances are, you're over-whelmed and confused. Your
problems
seem insurmountable and inaction feels better than the thought of taking
action. The hardest thing is MOTIVATION

Think about what you want and why you want it. Ask yourself how it will
benefit you, benefit others, what harm it might do, and how much effort
it
will take. Prioritize your goals according to the most rewarding and get
busy achieving them. With time, dedication, and motivation, you can be
healthier, smarter, wealthier.

We look at great people - people who have, through merits of
intelligence,
creativity and talent, made a mark on history and our lives - and we
marvel.
Some of us shrug, accepting our lot in life as an unfortunate accident
of
birth. Others aspire but give up too soon, comparing themselves to their
heroes and finding themselves far from being as great. It's true that we
can't all be Einsteins but we can be more than what we are. We can be
stronger, faster, achieve a greater aesthetic ideal, richer, more
confident,
and, yes, even smarter. Few of us use our brains to its full potential.
We
live our lives as if in a dream. But we can wake up. You only need to
want
it enough to make an effort.

Taking Charge of Your Life

In a competitive world, our whole life has become chaotic and I
sometimes
feel that this too busy life plays havoc with personal health, so the
need
is there to take time out for oneself and engage in feel good activities
during our such a busy life as this is very important to maintain a
healthy
balance.

Normally every married women with kids have a lot to do when morning
starts
for her.Getting the children ready for school and then sending husband
off
to work. Then at home have to dive into household chores, supervise the
domestic staff and then by noon when kids are back gives them lunch and
then
help with their homeworks and do other odd jobs around which come in the
way.Evening comes, and when husband back from work, spend some time
together
and then ensuring that the kids are in bed early. Same is the case with
men, as busy as ever who due to intense work pressure finds it difficult
to
have any quality time for themselves.

I have seen women who are the working ladies have twofold job, they
have to
be punctual for their work and then after coming home have to do the
household chores though too much fatigued. One friend of mine who is a
banker finds her job very satisfying but then she feels she has very
little
time for herself, like personal grooming and then her social life has
taken
a hit, previously before she started her job, she used to go boutique
and
enjoy seeing all the new upcoming designer clothes.

Then there is someone I know who works round the clock, his job demands
him
to attend to his work whenever the call comes, it can be at any odd
hours of
the day or night.Hardly gets enough time to rest and sometimes misses
his
favourite tennis playing.

It seems as if everyone is in a mad rush but I still do not understand
what
we are rushing towards? Granted its a competitive world, but one must
take
out time for oneself and we should have some moment out of our busy
schedule
and ask how happy we are with the present. While it is easier said than
done, taking time out to feel good about yourself, by indulging in
interesting activities that centre around you will surely have a
desirable effect. As I have heard some wise saying " don't knock it
before you try it".

THE POWER OF GOD

Have you ever been down and out and nobody seems to be around for you to
talk to...
THAT'S GOD...he wants you to talk to him.

Have you ever been just sitting there and all of a sudden you feel like
doing something nice for someone you care for...
THAT'S GOD...he talks to you through the Holy Spirit.

Have you ever been thinking about somebody that you haven't seen in a
long
time and then next thing you know you see them or receive a phone call
from
them...
THAT'S GOD...there is no such thing as coincidence.

Have you ever received something wonderful that you didn't even ask for,
like money in the mail, a debt that had mysteriously been cleared, or a
coupon to a department store where you had just seen something you
wanted,
but couldn't afford...
THAT'S GOD...he knows the desires of your heart...

Have you ever been in a situation and you had no clue how it is going to

get better, but now you look back on it...
THAT'S GOD... he passes us through tribulation to see a brighter day...

There's A Lot In Life

I look at now, i look at then,
my life has come to an end.
No one knows what it's like,
i feel like stabbing myself with a dike.

Sick of the same things everyday,
i wanna make it all go away.
I don't know what to do,
i wish i could be just like you.

Being able to do what i want is hard,
sometimes i feel like a peice of lard.

Nothing makes sence anymore,
i cry and cry pounding the floor.
It hurts inside that i feel so depressed,
maybe i need a little rest.

I know my friends depend on me,
is there something out there i don't see?
Being alone is really tuff,
when will i get through all this stuff?

I'm hoping soon i'll realize,
there's a lot in life with open eyes.
